Classes Cancelled As School Recovers From Ransomware Attack

Butler County Community College classes have been canceled for at least two days as the school recovers from a ransomware attack. The school is working hard to restore its IT systems after the crippling attack took out its databases, hard drives, servers, and other devices.
The college is being assisted by a third-party cyber security firm to restore the lost data and its IT services. The incident is under investigation as the school has canceled all remote and online courses and services on its main campus.
There has been no mention of any compromised student or employee PII and financial data loss as of press time.
