Personal data included the names, email addresses, delivery addresses, phone numbers, passwords and the last four digits of payment cards. The large amounts of data can be sold on the Dark Web for a large profit margin given the sheer volume of data that was taken. Further misuse of the data could result in individual cyber attacks such as targeted phishing attacks or even identity fraud. Users who joined after April 5, 2018 will be unaffected however DoorDash is still encouraging all users to reset passwords and to monitor their financial accounts.
