Call center contractor accessed data on 2,308 Inspira Financial savers

Inspira Financial Trust, the Illinois based health, wealth and retirement services provider formerly known as Millennium Trust Company, notified 2,308 retirement plan participants in February 2025 that their personal information had been improperly accessed. The notification was logged with the Maine attorney general's office on 20 February 2025.

The company said a representative at a third party call center it used had improperly accessed data relating to a limited number of retirement accounts between December 2024 and January 2025. Inspira identified the activity in January 2025 and investigated its scope.

The information involved may have included names, Social Security numbers, dates of birth, mailing addresses, previous employers, previous retirement plan sponsors and Inspira account numbers, account types and balances. Inspira said the call center representative was no longer an Inspira contractor and that it worked with the call center vendor to report the matter to law enforcement.

As a precaution the company flagged the affected accounts for enhanced security review before any transaction could be processed, and offered the affected participants two years of complimentary credit monitoring and identity protection through Experian. Pensions & Investments reported the incident on 21 February 2025, describing more than 2,300 customers as affected. Inspira did not say whether any funds had been moved or whether the accessed information had been used.
