Superior Plus Discloses Ransomware Attack Over The Weekend

Canadian-based propane giant Superior Plus is facing what could become a lengthy and complex recovery process after a network breach led to a ransomware attack on its systems over the weekend. The company stated that it has “temporarily disabled certain computer systems and applications” as it works with cyber security experts to assist in assessing the damages and impacts of the incident.

Superior is reassuring the public that at this time, it “has no evidence that the safety or security of any customer or other personal data has been compromised.” While investigations continue, the company has asked its customers and partners for their patience as it turns its attention to remediation and getting its systems back online when it is safe to do so.
