Sandhills Global, a leading digital media publication company, was forced to shut down operations and saw services to their hosted publications and phones offline after a successful ransomware attack. The company oversees trade magazines and websites for major publications across several industries, many of their publications have now been made inaccessible since the attack.

While there are not current reports of any stolen PII or financial data loss, the company has issued a statement mentioning they “have retained cybersecurity experts to assist (them) with the investigation, which is ongoing.” As the organization looks to confirm further details of the incident, systems and operations will likely remain temporarily shut down to protect their data and contain any malware.
